If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him,
-2 Corinthians 2:10

I love to look at statistics, numbers, trends and figures. I always have. They reveal a story. Sometimes, that story is not as obvious as other times; but sometimes it is unbelievably clear.

This morning, as I was looking at the web statistics of this blog, the story being revealed was one that I found terrifying. Apparently, there are several trackback links on this blog that I was unaware of. Ever since I enabled a module that allows trackbacks, I have been wondering when someone would use it. Well, someone used it, alright. In fact, they used it to embed a mind-numbing amount of links to all manner of inappropriateness on other sites; mostly advertisements for various medications. Sadly, many readers accessed those links. I am deeply sorry if anyone found themselves somewhere they were not expecting. That can be very disconcerting.

I was hoping to utilize trackbacks as a way to be better connected. I guess I will not. Unfortunately, it provides a much too enticing opportunity for people to take advantage of someone else. It is what it is.

So then...I say to you, Mr. Trackback-abuser, I forgive you. In fact, I would like to thank you for reminding me of the depths from which I was liberated and for giving me something to write about this morning.

Ah...hackers strike again!

Ah...hackers strike again! It looks as though I will have to start moderating comments. Someone has decided to use this site as a repository for shady links through the comments module. I apologize for any inconvenience.
