Have you ever walked into a house that hugged you with the peace of God? Have you ever stepped across the threshhold from chaos into calm? Have you ever entered a home where you were a friend before they ever saw you? Well then you must know Phil and Linda.

Having worn the same clothes for days, discouraged and wounded, we arrived after arrangements were made to meet. They were one of the respondants to a freecycle post I had sent, asking for clothing donations for my boys.

In addition to donating clothing to us, we talked and prayed. This was a family devoted to the cause of Christ, through and through. To us, it was like finding a lighthouse through dense spiritual fog. It was refreshing in a way that is hard to describe.

Meeting new friends is always good. Of that, I am sure. But, it is God, alone, who can orchestrate a divine appointment that spoke to the longings of our hearts the way that this one did. I don't know what it was to them. But to us, it meant everything.

If every street block had a Phil and Linda, just imagine how well represented Jesus could be.
